Financing Strategist
Dr. Kishore Biswas is a physician–epidemiologist and senior insurance
executive with over 15 years of leadership experience at the intersection of
healthcare delivery, health financing, and corporate governance. As Chief
Executive Officer of Protective Islami Life Insurance Ltd. in Dhaka,
Bangladesh, he leads strategic growth, regulatory compliance, product
innovation, and institutional development within the evolving insurance
landscape of emerging markets.
Dr. Biswas earned his MBBS from Sylhet M.A.G. Osmani Medical College
under Shahjalal University of Science and Technology and later completed a
Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology. He undertook postgraduate
clinical training in cardiology at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University
(BSMMU) and in diabetology at BIRDEM. His clinical background provides him with
deep insight into chronic disease management, population health trends, and
preventive care strategies.
Bridging medicine with financial risk management, Dr. Biswas transitioned
into the insurance sector, where he developed extensive expertise in
underwriting, claims governance, reinsurance strategy, and health product
development. Under his leadership, Protective Islami Life Insurance Ltd. has
strengthened operational governance, enhanced medical network integration, and
advanced sustainable, ethically grounded insurance practices.
At this stage of his career, Dr. Biswas focuses on advancing health
financing architecture, actuarial literacy, and Health Information Technology
(HIT) integration. He is particularly interested in developing digitally
enabled, medically intelligent insurance models that integrate clinical data
analytics, predictive risk modeling, and preventive health incentives. His work
emphasizes sustainable insurance systems for emerging economies, especially in
the context of chronic disease burden and universal health coverage.
Dr. Biswas advocates for ethical governance, enterprise risk management,
ESG-aligned leadership, and Shariah-compliant insurance structures that promote
transparency and institutional resilience. He is committed to contributing to
policy dialogue on public–private partnerships, sustainable health insurance
reform, and data-driven healthcare financing strategies.
